Ad Hoc Japan Center Malls Technical Committee

The goal of the Ad Hoc Japan Center Malls Technical Committee is to provide community input and facilitate an overall strategy for the Japan Center Malls which includes all of the properties between Laguna and Fillmore and between Post and Geary.

Cultural Heritage Sustainability Committee

The Cultural Heritage Sustainability Committee advocates for and implements strategies related to the preservation and promotion of structures and institutions of historical and cultural significance to Japantown.
Key leaders: Japantown-serving non-profit executives and staff, preservationists, planners, officials from education and religious institutions.

Land Use/Transportation Committee
Date & Time: Second Thursday of each month from 6-8 pm
Location: via Zoom
The purpose of the Land Use and Transportation committee is to monitor land use, zoning, and public transit in Japantown.
Key leaders: business and property owners, architects, planners, real estate attorneys, residents.

Peace Plaza Committee
Date & Time: Fourth Tuesday of each month from 5-6 pm

The goal of the Peace Plaza Committee is to oversee the renovation of the Peace Plaza in partnership with the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department and to ensure a diversity of community voices in the renovation process.
